According to the Standard, anti-terror police have pitched camp in Ijara and Hulugho.

The anti-terror police are said to be trailing people they believe know something about the Dusit attack that left 21 people dead.

The Standard further reports that detectives are also in Lamu, Mombasa and Tana River counties as an investigation into the attack intensifies.

Garissa has in the recent past been hit with deadly terror attacks.

On April 2, 2015, the county that borders Somalia was hit when armed terrorists stormed Garissa University College.

The terrorists killed at least 147 students and injured others.

The attack was condemned by leaders across the world and saw the government heighten security at the university and the larger North Eastern region.

On Saturday, police in Garissa arrested two people suspected to be terrorists.

The two suspected terrorists are said to have been driven to the Garissa police station by a taxi driver.

According to detectives, more than five suspects are in police custody in connection with the Dusit attack.
