Manson Oyongo Nyamweya, former South Mugirango MP said Ruto's aides who have been complaining about the ongoing crackdown on corrupt state officers is a true reflection of DP Ruto's efforts to ensure public funds are misused.

"People like DP Ruto must stop defending corruption by claiming that the war on graft is targeting one community. Corruption is committed by an individual and not a community," he said at a funeral at Kiobegi area in Bobasi constituency.

He lauded office of the DCI and DPP for stepping up efforts to tame corruption in the country.

Oyongo warned politicians against politicizing the graft war saying state officers should be held accountable for misusing state resources.

"Development projects won't stall because of few individuals in this country. Corruption must be fought by all people irrespective of tribe, rank in government, clan," he added.

He reiterated the need for politicians to keep off divisive politics adding that members of the public should be in peace at all times.
