Mombasa County Assembly Speaker Aharub Khatri has announced the assembly's newly found partnership with the largest Legislature in the world, the National People’s Congress of China.
This is after a delegation from the China Legislature which comprises of almost 3,000 members of parliament visited the Coastal city and met with Speaker Khatri following Governor Ali Hassan Joho's relations with China.
Addressing the press, the Mombasa County Assembly Speaker assured the China Legislature of Mombasa county's support whenever they visit and further commended the Chinese government for the infrastructural development being undertaken in Mombasa.
Khatri said the technological advancement in China can also be tapped into by Mombasa in order to help achieve the County's vision.
The delegation of the lawmakers from the Peoples Republic of China was led by the Chairman Foreign Affairs Committee of NPC, Chen Guomin.
