Western region Economic Bloc governors have written to Sauti Kuu Foundation proprietor to squeeze President Barack Obama's itinerary to fit them.

Obama, the 44th POTUS, arrived in Kenya on Sunday afternoon ahead of his Monday's historic tour to Nyanza, where his father Barack Obama Snr was born and raised.

Through Nyamira Assembly Speaker Moffat Teya, the governors now want Auma to find it necessary to allow them have discussion with Obama, who is accompanied by over 350 dignitaries.

"We understand his tight schedule but being a historic visit and now that he is one of our own, it will be prudent if he meets governors.

"Kenya has changed drastically since inception of devolution and thus, we have written to organisers to have us meet the former president."

Tentative schedule indicates that Obama will meet President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga on Sunday before jetting to Nyanza on Monday.

At Kisumu, he is expected to stay for at least 20 minutes where he will hold talks with Governor Nyong'o before flying to Siaya.

Besides the pressure from governors, Obama is also facing a nightmare after Luo Council of Elders demanded a meeting with him and the area community also asked organisers to make the event open to all.
