Hours after President Uhuru Kenyatta declared that all the militiamen behind the attack were dead, Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior now pleads with Kenyans to be more patriotic to this country in order to safeguard it from terrorists.

Kilonzo Junior on Wednesday took to his Twitter account where he expressed concern over the terror incident which left scores dead and several others injured.

He asked Kenyans to be more vigilant with their security and know the kind of neighbors they have in estates.

The senator said it is disturbing to note that many individuals in the public sector decided to ignore the potential attack, yet they live with some of the terror suspects in their neighborhoods.

“The news that one of the terrorists was staying in the city is hardly surprising. Several people in the public sector turned a blind eye to these gangsters. Lord teach us to love this nation more than we love our stomachs. Lord hear us,” said Kilonzo Junior, who has been one of the most vocal politicians from Ukambani.

Several leaders have continued to send their messages of condolence to the families of the deceased.
