This follows his latest visit to Kilifi County on Sunday, July 22.

The DP had been invited for a fundraiser by Kilifi North MP Owen Baya, towards translation of the first Giriama Bible.

He said some people were busy counting the number of times he visits the region as he seeks to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta come 2022.

"We have people who count the number of times I visit the Coast region. Let them do so if they get paid to do that. I do not have to ask anybody because I was elected to serve this country. My visits are development oriented and not campaign for 2022," the DP clarified.

He disclosed that he would return to Kilifi to commission a 12-kilometre Baricho road/bridge.

"We have released Sh2.5 million to the construction of the road and bridge."
