The Registrar of Political parties Ann Nderitu has on Thursday issued an okay that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has certified all provisions and that the party is complaint with all the laid down statutory requirements.

In a letter addressed to the Secretary-General of the party Edwin Sifuna, the Registrar stated that ODM complied with all the provisions of the political parties Act.

In line with section 29 and 31 of the Political parties Act which requires that a political party within ninety (90) days of the end of the financial year should publish the sources of their funding with exact figures received.

They have to state the amounts received from the party members income and expenditure of the political party; indicating the party's assets and liabilities and submitting them to the Auditor General for an audit.

Accordingly, the Registrar ODM party is compliant on its the party constitution; statutory membership; Statutory county branches; and the composition of its governing structure ranging from ethnic representation and inclusivity of all gender in the party leadership.

Taking to the party's twitter handle, the party expressed joy following the compliance stating that ODM is all round righteous party which adheres strictly to the law.

"The Registrar of Political Parties Ma'am Anne Nderitu has certified in writing that we are compliant with all the statutory requirements", read the tweet in part, further holding that "We are a party that believes in doing things the right way and in strict adherence to the Law."
