Kalonzo said the wrangles between the two leaders are dividing Machakos residents further.

"Please work together for the betterment of our region, fighting each other will result to nothing but enmity that won't benefit our people at all," Kalonzo said.

He spoke during a burial ceremony at Tala in Matungulu, Machakos County on Thursday.

Kalonzo said the feud between the duo has created a bad picture to the public hence Wiper might lose grip in Machakos County if doesn't end.

Muthama and Ndeti have been on constant wrangles as Muthama has on several occasions asked Wavinya to change her deputy Peter Mathuki.

Muthama had earlier threatened to vie for the gubernatorial seat in case of a by-election in Machakos County due to Ndeti's reluctance on this.

The electorates from the county are waiting for the pending election petition appeal case between Ndeti and Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua that is pending in the Supreme Court.

Muthama's utterances brewed controversy in the party as leaders formed groups to fight each other.

Kalonzo also urged the public against adding fuel to the fire by fighting on Facebook and WhatsApp groups.

"Those causing attacks in Facebook and WhatsApp groups should stop, those fights are causing more rift between the two leaders," Kalonzo said.
