When he made his maiden visit to Kenya as president of the United States of America in 2015, his mode of transportation was the humongous, muscular Airforce One.

A trivia question on many people's mind had to do with the plane that would bring him to his ancestral roots.

Unlike in 2015, the plane that he travelled in was significantly smaller compared to the presidential Airforce One.

The plane was a chattered jet owned by the Vistajet, an aviation firm that offers chattered transportation and owns a fleet of jets that it hires out.

Obama travelled in one of its Bombardier jets to Kenya.

Vistajet is a global aviation company that enjoys a significant market share.

We asked the residents of Garissa what they thought about Obama's mode of transportation:

"I thought that he would come into the country with Air Force 1 and then I saw this small jet," Gulagho Asman said.

"It was still a classy plane. I loved it's shining colour,'' Yudhoyono Akbar said.

"Traveling in comfort. Only respected people with means can afford chartered planes," Hohe Abdihakim said.

"It just the same size as the plane that president Uhuru uses to travel abroad," Jasmin Burale said.
