And even when he traveled to India last Friday for what is said to be an official  visit, the former Prime Minister identified Kisumu Deputy Governor Mathews Owili as the right man for the one-week visit which will see him meet Indian Prime Minister Nehadra Modi.

On Saturday, the ODM leader visited Bangalore State where he celebrated the enduring legacy of his father and former Vice President Jaramogi Oginga Odinga who strived to deepen the Kenya-India ties, which saw many Kenyan students earn scholarship to study in the country.

The selection of Dr.Owili for the high-profile trip to India means that Suna East MP Junet Mohammed had to take a back seat this time round having attended nearly all of Raila's past foreign events including the recent South Africa and South Sudan missions.

Raila's who has of late developed soft spot for young politicians is perhaps mentoring tomorrow's leaders by exposing them to the  world of leadership.
