The DG revealed that he harbours a lot of admiration and respect for Shimo La Tewa Secondary School, not only because of its enviable academic records but also for hosting his father Mzee Edward Kingi who "excelled in the class of 1954 to become a celebrated Botanist during his career days."

Accompanied by Senator Mohammed Faki, the leaders spared some time to talk to the students on their future and urged them to focus on their education bearing in mind that education is an essential key to opening several life opportunities.

As a government Kingi said they will continue partnering with county learning institutions in developing all rounded students.

"We also commend the efforts of Shimo La Tewa Secondary School in preserving our environment by dedicating an acre of their land for tree planting and urge other institutions to emulate them," he said on Saturday.
