Fourteen county governments have gathered for Lake Region Economic Bloc expo which will concluded this Thursday.

A close look at the stands showed optimism on the planned local economic arrangement that targets to spur growth with the entire Nyamira County leadership already in attendance.

"This will help members from the counties to access loans for development. It also gives perfect Opportunities to SMEs," said Eric Onchana, the Nyamira County Secretary.

At least fifty delegates have been facilitated by Nyamira leadership to the neighboring Bomet for the expo which will be launched by President Uhuru.

But Uhuru's return to the region that overwhelmingly voted for him twice would be once again on the check since he has lately come under pressure to back his deputy.

At Nandi on Sunday, Uhuru failed to explicitly throw his support behind Ruto but seems to gesture that nothing has changed.

"The newspaper people will say anything. Let us first work for our people. That is what matter," said Uhuru.

Besides Nyamira, delegates from Nandi, Kisumu, Kakamega, Vihiga, Busia, Migori, Kisii, Siaya, Homa Bay and Bungoma will attend.
