The controversial legislator shared footage of his arrival in which he is seen trading banter with Kisumu locals.

He appeared at ease as he pounded the streets.

A few months ago, the controversial legislator was a persona non grata here over his scathing attacks on Raila Odinga.

Kenyans have been reacting to the dramatic development.

Here is what the residents of Garissa had to say:

"This is what we want to see. Kenya has moved beyond the 2017 elections," Wahed Sahib says.

"Kenya has come of age. I now believe," Shukre Abdi says.

"That was just a PR stunt. Kuria is a shameless hate-monger," Faridah Karim said.

"This is heart-warming. It should be encouraged," Hakeem Dawa says.

"Ruto should be very worried by this development. Just maybe, Kuria will support Raila Odinga," Halaghe Juno says.
