Citizen TV anchor Jacque Maribe is facing murder charges after orders from the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Noordin Haji.
Jacque Maribe was remanded at Langat'a Women's Prison in Nairobi awaiting mental assessment test as directed by Justice Jessie Lesiit.
Events have turned against her wish in the recent weeks, after her fiancé Joseph Irungu became a key suspect in the brutal murder of Monica Kimani.
She also became a suspect after some of Monica's things were allegedly found in her house. Monica was a business lady living in Kilimani area in Nairobi, a few metres from Kibera.
It is also unfortunate that Jacque will miss out on her best friend’s wedding.
In a post seen on Nairobi based Terryanne Chebet’s Instagram wall, she will be walking down the aisle soon.
Chebet announced her wedding plans by asking fans to help her choose the best bridal wedding gown among a few she had selected.
She posted three photos in different wedding gowns and asked people to help her choose.
“This happened a couple weeks ago, got overtaken by events. Late post… Thanking @aurniacarlislebridals for a wonderful experience as we checked out their bridal gowns. Spoilt for choice! Help!!!. 1, 2 or 3?” she posted.
As Terryanne Chebet looks forward to walking down aisle for her happy forever life, her best friend Jacque Maribe will be awaiting her murder charges.
Both Jacque and her fiancé might be looking forward to spending longer behind bars as a directive from Haji ordered them to be charged with murder.
