For years, Kalembe has been a fierce critic of the Ukambani political kingpin.

Ndile has been hitting out at Kalonzo sometimes clearly stating that the former Vice President stands no chance of ascending to power.

The former MP is among Kamba politicians who in the recent past have asked Kalonzo to quit active politics.

However, Ndile and Kalonzo rivalry might have come to an end if the last Friday's event is anything to go by.

Ndile was among Kamba politicians who graced Kalonzo's event in Matungulu last Friday.

The former Kitui West MP's presence at the meeting could mean that he is backing Kalonzo's 2022 presidential bid.

According to political analyst Peter Ngure, Ndile needs Kalonzo to make a complete political comeback.

"Kalembe can easily make a return to active politics if he works with Kalonzo," Ngure said in N interview on Sunday.

Ndile dissolved his TIP TIP party in 2017 and joined Jubilee Party.

He unsuccessfully contested the Mavoko parliamentary seat in the August 8, 2017 election.

Ndile has several times threatened to quit President Uhuru Kenyatta led party.

The former MP is, however, among Ukambani politicians who have been awarded parastatal jobs in the latest appointments.

Ndile has been appointed a member of the TANA ATHI Board.

He will serve for a period of 3 years, a term that is not renewable.
