Harambee Stars Coach Sébastien Migné has named the final 23-man-squad for the upcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) scheduled to begin on June 21 in Egypt.

Four players have been omitted from an initial 27-man squad that is in camp in Paris, France.

The four are Christopher Mbamba who reportedly failed to recover from an ankle injury he picked up in his last match before checking into camp, defender Brian Mandela who injured his knee on Monday morning’s training session and midfielders Clifton Miheso and Anthony Teddy Akumu.

Here is Harambee Stars Final AFCON Squad;

Goalkeepers: Patrick Matasi, John Oyemba, Faruk Shikalo

Defenders: Philemon Otieno, Abud Omar, Bernard Ochieng, Musa Mohammed, Joash Onyango, Joseph Okumu, David Owino, Eric Ouma

Midfielders: Victor Wanyama, Dennis Odhiambo, Erick Johanna, Ayub Timbe, Francis Kahata, Ismael Gonzalez, Ovella Ochieng, Paul Were, Johanna Omollo

Forwards: Masud Juma, Michael Olunga, John Avire

The team is preparing for the final friendly match against the Democratic Republic of Congo, set to be played on Saturday in Madrid, Spain.

On Friday, Harambee Stars beat Madagascar 1-0 in a friendly match played in Paris, France. 

Stars team will travel to Egypt on June 19, 2019, in time for their first match of the 2019 AFCON against Algeria on June 23.
