An MP from Kisii County has turned against President Uhuru Kenyatta over the ongoing war against corruption.
Bobasi MP Innocent Obiri while speaking on Tuesday in Sameta blamed Uhuru over the increased cases of corruption.
The lawmaker said that the head of state has condoned graft in his government.
"President Uhuru is the enemy in this country. Graft won't end because he is surrounded by cartels who he has refused to chase away from his government," said the vocal legislator.
Obiri maintained that if President Uhuru will do away with Deputy President William Ruto, graft will end in this country failure to which theft of public funds will continue.
According to the MP, DP Ruto is the "father of corruption" who needs to be flushed out of government,
"Uhuru's Deputy has been widely mentioned in at least every graft case but, Mr Kenyatta has refused to sack him or ask him to step aside for investigation to be done. There is no way graft will end if DP Ruto won't be punished," he added.
