Onyiso placed an advert in a local daily after claims of disagreements with his wife.

Sources revealed that he paid Sh 2, 000 for the advertisement.

“I, Francis Onyiso, take this opportunity to apologize to my beloved wife Janet Aoko Owino for the pain I have caused her and the family. I ask for forgiveness and promise never to repeat again,” read the advert as quoted by sde.co.ke.

Onyiso said that he did not think advertising his apology was a big thing insisting that he intended to say sorry to his wife and to tell her he loved her.

It was not clear however whether the wife forgave him or not.

During his heydays, Onyiso played for the Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) side Ulinzi Stars and Harambee Stars.

He is among players who were in the Harambee Stars squad when the term last qualified and participated in the Africa Cup of Nations in Tunisia, way back in 2004.

The team included the likes of Harambee Stars record goal scorer Dennis Oliech, his brother Andrew Oyombe, Captain Musa Otieno, Mike Okoth Origi, Robert Mambo, Walter Odede, Philip Opiyo and Maurice Sunguti among others under Coach Jacob ‘Ghost’ Mulee.

Onyiso is currently Ulinzi Stars keepers trainer.
