In an interview on Milele FM’s ‘Kivumbi’ show on Thursday morning, the ex-county boss said that Uhuru’s inability to rally all his officials behind him in the campaign will be the main cause of his defeat.

He noted that the continued revelations of new scandals in state bodies and organizations every now and then are proof that he is fighting a lost battle.

‘’Ni kweli Rais ameamua kumaliza ufisadi lakini yuko pekee yake, hana watu nyuma yake (the main problem in his bid is that he is all alone and this will not allow him to accomplish his mission),’’ he said.

Kabogo observed that the same will reflect on his legacy as he seeks to also accomplish his government’s major initiatives under the Big Four agenda.

According to Kabogo, the recurrent loss of money in graft and fraudulent tendering will not leave the government with the required funds to implement the agenda.

‘’Tutapata wapi pesa za kushugulikia Big Four ilhali zinapotea na kuenda kwingineko (how weill we finance the plan yet the money is getting lost to corrupt suspects?),’’ he asked.

Speaking during the 55th Jamhuri  Day celebrations at Nairobi’s Nyayo Stadium on Wednesday, Uhuru reassured Kenyans of his commitment towards eradicating graft, calling for their support in the same.
