Governor Abdi says claims being peddled by some individuals are malicious and meant to taint his image.

Speaking during a thanksgiving ceremony at Arabian Cuisine in Nairobi on Saturday, Governor Abdi said that he did not bribe anyone.

"The allegations by some people that we bought our victory is malicious and we are not taking them lightly," he told journalists on the sidelines of the thanksgiving ceremony.

The Jubilee governor said that his election was fair and that the Supreme Court ruling is a clear indication of what happened on August 8, 2017.

The governor asked his supporters and Wajir residents to ignore propaganda being peddled against him.

He stated that he has no time to engage his critics, adding that his focus is on development.

The Wajir County boss, however, extended an olive branch to his rivals.

He said that Wajir will achieve her development goals if leaders work together.

Governor Abdi's election was validated by the Supreme Court on Friday last week.

The Wajir gubernatorial judgement has elicited criticism from a section of legal minds in the country.

Lawyer Ahmednassir Abdullahi is alleging that some Supreme Court Judges allegedly received a bribe to write their judgement in favour of Governor Abdi.

The famous lawyer now says that he will on Monday write to Chief Justice (CJ) David Maraga to expose judges who he claims pocketed money to favour Governor Abdi.

Lawyrer Abdullahi represented former Wajir governor Ahmed Abdullahi who had petitioned Governor Abdi's election.
