The county government of Nyamira's Mashujaa Day celebrations were dull at Ekerenyo grounds as both Nyagarama and Nyaribo missed from action.

And at New Delhi, the source says, Mr. Nyaribo is however stable and doctors hope his kidney problem could be treated by the end of November.

"He is critical but stable. Doctors have been working hard to manage the condition which he was diagnosed with early this year.

"By November, we hope that he will be okay and ready to resume duties. Some of radical reforms he initiated like flushing out ghost workers have stalled," said the officer who spoke in confidence.

Last week, Mr. Nyaribo's brother, Robert Nyaribo, succumbed at Nyamira County Referral Hospital, after battling with a disease for a long time.

Also, early this month, Nyaribo's uncle, who perished following a fire tragedy in his house, was buried in the absence of the deputy governor.

From May to July, Nyaribo was temporarily in charge after Governor Nyagarama was indisposed in the US.
