Kabogo argued that DPP Haji has shown that it is no longer business as usual in the fight against graft.

He said that the new DPP has what it takes to fight corruption if the process is not politicised.

According to Kabogo, the DPP’s recent move to arrest and charge some of the top government officials linked to graft is the right direction in the fight against corruption.

“The new DPP Mr Haji is capable of eliminating the corruption dragon if he gets the political goodwill,” the former county boss said on Friday in an interview on Inooro TV.

Kabogo asked DPP Haji not to fear anyone and instead go for top State officers who have swindled public money.

He said that the DPP has Kenyans full support behind him as he takes on the graft dragon.

The former Kiambu governor warned that unless fought through all means, corruption will remain a threat to economic development.

Last week, the DPP ordered the arrest of Kenya Power and Lighting Company former Managing Director Ben Chumo, CEO Ken Tarus and other senior managers over corruption-related offences, including the irregular awarding of tenders.
