This comes after a short clip of MC Jessy making a joke about the man who has been identified as Mr Achoka went viral, eliciting mixed reactions among Kenyans.

A section of Kenyans expressed their disappointment with MC Jessy and the show's camera person for making fun of Mr Achoka and even demanded an apology from the show.

In the clip, MC Jessy starts off with a 'special' message to ladies in the audience.

"Ladies hello... hawa machali handsome si wako peke yako, kuna wengine pia wanawaona...eee...tafuta kimtu tu, kiko na sura yake, private, sura personal (Ladies hello, these handsome men are players who date several women. Look for someone who is less attractive)," said Jessy as the camera person focused on Mzee Achoka who was sitting in the audience.

Upon realising his audience was actually laughing after the camera focused on Mr Achoka, MC Jessy tried to salvage the situation by saying he was not talking about Achoka and instead likened him to a sponsor.

"Hapana...no...sio huyo. Hapana, huyo ni sponsor (I wasn't referring to him. That one is a sponsor," he said while laughing and pointing at where Mr Achoka was seated.

In a Twitter post on Monday, MC Jessy apologised to Mzee Achoka, his family and Kenyans at large.

"Forgiveness does not change the past, but it does enlarge the future. On behalf of Churchill Show & I, we want to take this apologise to Mzee Achoka, his family and Kenyans in general. I take full responsibility for the production of this episode that might have gone in bad taste," tweeted MC Jessy.
