A nationwide campaign dubbed "the last mile form one admission campaign towards 100% transition" has been officially launched in Mombasa.
Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Education Dr Belio Kipsang while launching the campaign at the Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zeyd School, directed all school heads and provincial administrators to ensure that all pupils who sat for the 2018 KCPE are enrolled in secondary schools.
Kipsang tasked all stakeholders including teachers, parents, chiefs, regional and county commissioners to take up the responsibility and help in ensuring 100% transition of all pupils who sat for KCPE last year from various regions across the country.

To affirm Mombasa County's commitment to improving the transition rates in Mombasa, Deputy Governor Dr William Kingi, two weeks, ago commissioned a special scholarship programme under the County Elimu Fund to support pupils who could not raise the needed finances to proceed to secondary schools.
Speaking during the launch on Monday, Kingi asked respective parents in Mombasa to visit the specified distribution centres within their sub-counties (as listed below) to pick up application forms for the special scholarship programme.
