Deputy President William Ruto and Former Vice President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka on Thursday attended the burial of Bishop Emeritus of PEFA Samuel Mwatha Kang'ethe at Ndung'u Stadium in Ng'araria, Kandara - Murang'a County.
It remains unclear what the two leaders could have discussed during the event, but could be seen chatting.
The Kamba political kingpin, who hit headlines after hinting at supporting talk on the extension of the Presidential term limit, took to social media to share his photo with captioned it:
“With @WilliamsRuto at the burial of Bishop Emeritus of PEFA Samuel Mwatha Kang'ethe at Ndung'u Stadium in Ng'araria, Kandara - Murang'a County Today. The Late Bishop is brother in law to Bishop Arthur Kitonga,”
The meeting comes at a time when DP Ruto has been differing bitterly with African Union High Representative on infrastructure Development Raila Odinga on the alleged loss of Sh21 billion in Arror and Kimwarer dams project.
Treasury CS Henry Rotich, his Devolution counterpart Eugene Wamalwa, and Agriculture CS Mwangi Kiunjiri have been questioned over the same.
Raila wants Ruto to clear his name from the graft claims.
He has insisted that the loss of public funds is no longer something the government should condone.
On his part, Ruto has maintained that all funds can be accounted for.
