The Mediamax Network-owned Kiswahili radio station, Milele FM, has with immediate effect reshuffled its presenters following a scuffle that involved its drive time show (4pm-8pm) co-hosts, Kaka Zema and Doreen Nassi alias Dee.

In the new line-up, Nassi will now be the host of the early night show, Rhumba Oxygen (8pm-midnight) which was previously hosted by veteran radio presenter, Titi Nagwala.

Nassi's position in the drive time show has been taken by Papa Shirandula TV drama actress and comedian Jacquey Nyaminde alias Wilbroda who was previously co-presenting the mid-morning show, 'Kazi Mpango', alongside Francis Luchivya.

Luchivya and Wilbroda were previously the hosts of Citizen radio's breakfast show, Jambo Kenya, before they were poached by Milele FM last year allegedly on the promise of huge perks.

Wilbroda's position in the mid-morning show will now be taken over by Mwajuma Ally aka Chozi la Almasi.

Milele FM and Mediamax Network management have reportedly decided to brush off the Zema-Dee altercation as a mere publicity stunt apparently to save face.

However, to avoid such a shameful incidence in future that went viral on social media last weekend, critics argue that it is the main reason the radio station had to carry out a reshuffle almost immediately.

Milele FM boss, Alex Mwakideu, who also doubles up as the station's breakfast show (Milele Breakfast) presenter alongside comedian Jalang'o, had promised on his Instagram account on Friday to investigate the issue beginning Monday while sharing the dramatic video of the two rival presenters' heated exchange.

After the video was posted online, Jalang’o had taken to social media to urge the management to sack Nassi claiming she is 'moneyed and egocentric'.

While Milele FM may want its listeners to treat the whole thing as a prank, some listeners and fans are not yet convinced that the altercation that had seen the two presenters suspended was a mere publicity stunt.

"If it was just jokes and/or staged managed, why were the changes necessary immediately after? Dee seems to have been moved to one person's show because she's unable to cooperate with other presenters," wrote Đr Bonesëťtéř, a fan, on Milele FM's social media page, Monday.
