Former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti has praised President Uhuru Kenyatta for appointing Fatuma Ahmed as the Assistant Chief of the Kenya Defense Forces in charge of Personnel and Logistics.

Ndeti says that the move is a big boost to women in leadership.

The former MP stated that women have a lot to offer the country and that they should give more opportunity.

“Thank you Mr President for appointing Fatuma to the position of Assistant Chief of the Defense Forces in charge of Personnel, God bless you,” Wavinya Ndeti said on her twitter handle on Friday.

President Kenyatta appointed Fatuma to the position urging her to be a role model to others.

Fatuma becomes Kenya’s first woman in the military rank of Major General.

The President also made mini-reshuffles in his cabinet.

He reshuffled Industrialization CS Aden Mohamed who takes over the East Africa docket held by former Meru Governor Peter Munya.

Munya on the other hand takes over the Industrialisation docket.
