Five young men who are been detained at Eldoret prison for allegations of committing various offences have begged to be transferred from the facility claiming they are being subjected to homosexual harassment by other inmates.

Eldoret Senior Principal Magistrate Harrison Barasa has already ordered the prison's administration to investigate the claims and take a corrective measure to curb the vice from continuing at the detention facility.

The magistrate further directed that the young men be taken to the health facility to establish if they have been 'assaulted' at the detention centre.

According to edaily, the five alleged that other detainees always prey on them at night for homosexual activity which they find irritating and uncomfortable.

The men are allegedly aged around 18 years and below, of which the court ordered an age assessment test to be done so as to establish if they will be transferred to a juvenile correctional facility as their case is been handled.

From the disturbing revelations of the detainees, it paints an ugly picture of the immoral activities taking place at various detaining and correctional facilities in the country.
