At the end of the month, there are high chances of most women visiting cosmetics shops to get a new look.

In the process of getting a new look, they end up using public testers. Many end up sharing those testers with strangers, or even friends, whichever way, which and the end of the day, leads to health problems.

However, there are key safety tips for using makeup testers from your favourite cosmetic shop.

1. Tell the seller you need take-home samples

A take-away sample means you won't share it with strangers thus avoiding any problems that might come about if shared.

2. Avoid trying the sample on your face

Since you are not sure with how the makeup will behave on your skin, at all cost, avoid testing on your face, use your hands instead.

3.  Ask for new testers

The customer is always right and you one of the customers, be right to the seller by asking him or her for new testers before exchanging the product for your money.

4. Properly clean the testers

Let the seller clean his or her testers before you use them, the brushes, etc. let them be washed-clean and sterilized before you try them.

5. Order a sample online

With so many online shops including Jumia, ask the seller to send you a sample before buying the actual thing.
