Embakasi East Member of Parliament (MP) Babu Owino on Wednesday launched a scathing attack at Sirisia MP John Waluke following a heated debate on the standoff at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Parliament.
It all started after Waluke said that Owino knows little about the merger of KQ and JKIA.
Owino, who has been very vocal on matters of national interest, fired back at Waluke terming him an academic dwarf.
He insisted that The Kenya Airport Workers Union (KAWU) were right to down their tools leading to disprution at the facility on Wednesday.
“Lastly I'd like you to advise the academic dwarf, honourable Waluke to desist from abusing an intellectual like me,” Babu retorted.
The lawmaker has threatened to call for daily protests against the takeover of the facility.
“I am a member of the Public Investment Committee and we called the CEO of the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) Johny Andersen to explain this takeover. This is a fraudulent takeover. We shouldn’t allow as Kenyans. As a member of Parliament I am in support of workers demonstrating, striking for their rights. This is an opportunity for the workers to ensure that the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is not taken over,” he said.
