Mr. Victor Otieno has been ailing at Mbagathi hospital in Nairobi for weeks before he took his final bow on Monday in his mother's presence.

ODM blogger Olivia Moraira alias Kabz Nyar Kisii confirmed that plans were underway to help Ms. Akinyi settle bills in Mbagathi and subsequent burial expenses.

"Popular Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) supporter Mama Orange real Name Roselyne Akinyi, has lost her son at Mbagathi Hospital after long illness.

"All ODM supporters including politicians let's stand with Mama orange, to help contact her on 0721 838237," she wrote.

Ms. Akinyi is synonymous in Orange Democratic Movement party rallies and is highly regarded by party stalwarts.

At one time she confessed that her wish was to have Raila Odinga as the president of the country, adding that she expected to occupy State House.

"I have supported ODM since her formation. I usually go to rallies without anyone's support. I also buy my trademark oranges. My wish is that Raila will win some day and I go to State House."

The ODM party is expected to take over the burial arrangement as part of her tradition for years when staunch supporters are bereaved.
