According to Nyagarama, the 8 per cent VAT on fuel tax being imposed to Kenyans  is not fair.

"The 8% VAT on fuel is not favorable because poor Kenyans can't afford. Uhuru should consider changing his mind for the sake our our people," he said.

The ODM allied governor slammed Raila Odinga for leading a meeting in which he supported the new rates.

"Raila should know supporters are not happy with him. He is committing an injustice to our people," he stated.

Nyagarama said President Uhuru's administration should carry own cross due to careless borrowing from foreign countries.

"Jubilee government should stop burdening poor Kenyans in repaying its loans. Let the corrupt individuals surrender their properties and stolen money in banks," he stated.

He was speaking at Uhuru Gardens on Tuesday.
