Ikinu Ward MCA Stanley Wanjiku is the latest victim of a SIM card swap scam that is going on in the country.

It is reported that the MCA was conned a whopping Sh1.9 million on July 3, 2018 when he was on a trip to Israel.

Sh40,000 was withdrawn from his mobile money account, while Sh339,000 was withdrawn from his bank account and Sh1.5 million from a joint account.

Kenyans could not keep calm when the story was shared on the United States of Kiambu Facebook page. Here are some of the reactions:

Ndo MTU atajua where the shoe pinches. We need to be our brother's keeper. Bottom line..... Let's be on the lookout."

"1.9 million that's alot, a kenyan leader must gather wealth like a squirrel storing nuts before winter," said John Thunder.

"I can urge Him to come to inbox on how he recover that money within 3 months," said Anthony Benhur Mbugua.
