Kalonzo said Muthama refused to greet Raila when they met at a burial ceremony in Machakos County due to the handshake.

He said Muthama thought  Raila had sold the NASA coalition to the highest bidder.

"When Raila met Uhuru, everyone thought Raila had been 'bought' after going alone and secretly. So I can't blame Muthama for refusing to greet him when they met," Kalonzo said.

Kalonzo spoke during a burial service at Tala in Matungulu, Machakos County on Thursday.

He said what made Muthama angrier was the fact that he went alone and never involved the other principals.

The former Vice President said Muthama had seen the end of the road after all the political fight and lives lost.

He said NASA co-principals understood and supported Raila after he explained to them that he made the decision to work with the Jubilee administration since he has the 'mwananchi's' interest at heart.

" After all the fight we had put up against the government, we thought our efforts had gone down the drain but later he explained to us in depth about his mission in Jubilee. We understood he still has the interest of Mwananchi in his heart," Kalonzo said.

Kalonzo together with Raila Odinga, Johnstone Muthama, Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala among other leaders attended the event.
