Mohamed Abdilatif scored 390 marks out of a possible 500 in the recently announced KCPE results and was selected to join Nairobi School in January.

The former Hara Boarding Primary School student appealed to the well-wishers to help him enroll in the school to continue with his education during an interview with NTV at their home.

Having been touched the desperate situation of the poor student, the Garissa township MP via his official Twitter handle on Sunday, promised to bankroll his entire four years of secondary education.

" Following the story aired on@ntvkenya about the plight of a student from Masalani village, Garissa county. I have spoken to the family and agreed to sponsor this young man realise his dream," said the MP on Twitter.

Following the tweet by the vocal MP, netizens took to the social media and congratulated him for standing with the poor boy.
