This time round, the Head of State was not accompanied by security as is always the protocol.

The two were among a host of political leaders who had attended the burial ceremony of former Youth Enterprise and Development Fund Bruce Odhiambo in Koru, Muhoroni Constituency.

From Koru, the ODM Party leader arrived at the Airport ahead of the President.  Both used different helicopters to arrive at the Airport.

Various leaders among them Odinga and Kisumu Deputy Governor Mathews Owili had lined up to receive President Kenyatta as he arrived from Koru, and most probably wave him bye back to Nairobi.

But on meeting Odinga, the two started conversing in low tones before being driven away to an unknown destination within Kisumu City as the Head of State’s helicopter remained at the airport.

“Hon Raila Odinga and his brother the President of the Republic of Kenya H.E Uhuru Kenyatta at undisclosed location immediately he took him away from the airport at around 6.00 pm and left without any escort. The head of state left the county at 2023hrs,” Lenox Omondi, Communications Officer at Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong'o’s Communication Unit captioned a picture of the two leaders.
