Speaking during a radio interview on Monday, the firebrand lawmaker opined that Ruto is set for a defeat for being in the bad company.

According to the young MP, Ruto is a victim of negative influence.

Keter advised the DP to tame his allies, most of whom have repeatedly attacked opposition leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta who have since reunited following their March 9 truce.

He termed the group of unnamed individuals as selfish leaders who are ignoring real facts to realise their hidden personal motives, adding that they are the biggest barrier between Ruto and the top seat.

‘’I have always said that the DP is intelligent but those surrounding him are led by their stomachs and are at the centre of handouts and contracts. They cannot see the present and future because they are selfish and have hidden agendas,’’ said Keter, as quoted by the Nation.

He noted that the group has already spoiled it for the DP, warning that he is set for a political destruction unless he embarks on correcting his mistakes.

‘’These individuals have already spoiled for Ruto. 2022 is a difficult climb unless the DP heeds to what we are telling him,’’ he added.

This comes at a time when a section of the DP's allies have questioned the Uhuru-Raila truce, raising concerns over Raila's closeness to the Head of State, expressing fear that he could use it to destroy the ruling party.
