Kennedy Michira of Kiamokama said MP Ong'era could not support Maangi because he's unpredictable.

"Ong'era could not risk supporting Maangi because he joined Jubilee party last year before he returned into ODM party," he said in his ward on Thursday evening.

He also noted that Maangi's close association with Deputy President William Ruto is the main reason he can't get support for the county's top seat.

"Maangi should prepare for a tough race because it will not be business as usual. If MP Arati will live true to his words and vie for the county's top seat, Maangi is likely to get a run for his money because the region is perceived to be an ODM zone and without doubt MP Arati will clinch the ODM party's ticket," he added.

The ward rep maintained that Kisii residents should make a wise decision by electing a committed governor in 2022 after Ongwae completes his term.
