Hours after information reached the public domain on the nomination of Eliud Kinuthia to replace Johnston Kavuludi, the self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) leader gun forth with his guns blazing against Uhuru’s move.

The lawyer cum activist, who was deported for taking part in the mock swearing-in of ODM Leader Raila Odinga, claimed that the appointment is tribal.

He noted that Uhuru should have appointed another person and not Kinuthia, who hails from his tribe.

“Uhuru Kenyatta is not just a tyrant who wants to make Kenya police and militarized country where guns, ill-acquired wealth and family name counts more than ability; he is a Kikuyu chauvinist,” he tweeted on Tuesday.

Uhuru also named Eusibius Laibuta, Alice Atieno Otwala, Naftali Kipchirchir Rono, Lilian Kiamba and John Ole Mayaki into the commission.

Miguna, who has been very vocal on matters of national interest, is, however, not convinced that the list reflects what Kenyans wants from the President.

He believes that the appointments are not all-inclusive in nature.

The team, if approved by parliament, will be tasked with interviewing persons for the replacements in the services.

They will be expected to take into consideration various factors when interviewing persons include ethnic balance, gender and regional equality among others.

The commission also includes Deputy Inspector Generals Noor Gabow and Njoroge Mbugua.

Others are a person who can meet the requirements of being appointed as a High Court Judge and three persons who have once worked in public office and have integrity.
