The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Sunday released a list of six persons wanted for alleged involvement and aiding in the realization of the Riverside terror attack.

Four of the six on Monday presented themselves to the police for questioning, three doing the same in the county and the fourth one in Nairobi county.

However, their mothers now claim that the young men are innocent and are actually hard workers who have no links to the Somali based terror organization Al Shabaab.

Halima Sororo, mother to Abdi Ali Kanchora who is one of the suspects said that her son is always home and cannot have found time to engage in any criminal activity.

"My son is always at home. Not even a single day has he ever spent the night away. He is even planning to get married on February 9, this year,” she was quoted by the Citizen Digital.

Qabale Wario, another parent also maintained that their children are being framed.

"We were shocked to see the names of our children on TV and newspapers. They have no links to terror,” she added.

However, the government claims that the suspects are  Al Shabaab recruitment agents within the county.
