A section of social media users from Nyamira have bashed ex-ex-Us President Barack Obama, hours after his arrival in Nairobi for a one day private visit.
In 2015, Obama, then President of United States of America, pledged to visit the country with his family.
"I promise I will visit next time, maybe not in a suit. I will also come with Sasha. My family loves Kenya," he said.
"There are other beautiful places in this country maybe which I've not discovered. The ecosystem even in the neighborhood. Climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro will probably be my next thing."
But moments after landing, with Sasha and Malia nowhere, and Obama in a suit, social media users trolled him online.
"Just the way he never helped Kenya that much as president, he could not even keep his promise of coming with daughters," said Lydiah Kemunto in Nyamira Politics WhatsApp group.
Another user, Jacob Sirmani added:" I though he was not coming in a suit. He is probably not going to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro."
So tight is Oba itinerary that even Nyanza governors are struggling to book an appointment with him.
On Monday, the first black American President will be visiting his father's ancestral home in Kogello for launching of Sauti Kuu Foundation.
