The leader on Thursday launched a scathing attack on opposition leader the former Prime Minister over the ongoing evictions in the Mau forest.

He was, however, among the first ones to hail Odinga after his March 9 truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta and even seemed to insinuate that the veteran leader needed more privileges as a thank you token, in what was seen as a change of heart.

On Thursday, he led a group of Rift Valley leaders in accusing Raila of championing for the evictions, accusing him of using his entry into the Jubilee formation to undermine Deputy President William Ruto's pending presidential ambition.

"Somee people who recently entered the government through the window are now working in collaboration with other goons to evacuate people from Mau to spoil it for Ruto," said Murkomen in an indirect shot at the former Premier.

"He will then come running to the people to console them claiming to be the best one to address their issues which the government has been unable to address," added the openly disturbed Senator.

This is far from what was expected from the Senator who is now attacking a leader who he recently praised and whose reconciliatory move has seen the nation regain calmness.

The ongoing process is spearheaded by Narok County Commissioner George Natembea and has since received a backing from a section of locals.
