Three people were on Wednesday nabbed at Nyangoso market in Kisii County over drug trafficking links in Kisii.The three were caught with several rolls of bhang.
Kisii Police Commander Martin Kibet said the suspects were nabbed after a successful tip off from members of the public.
"The suspects were nabbed while on their way to Kilgoris where they were going to sell bhang. Members of the public who have been suspecting the trio reported to police prompting to their arrest," he said.
He said the trio will be arraigned in court once police complete investigations.
"The suspects who were moved to Kisii police station will help police officers name other suspects before they will be arraigned in court by Friday," he noted.
The commander regretted that the sell of illicit drugs such as bhang in the county is at the peak.
He appealed to locals to venture into legal businesses to avoid being on the wrong side of the law.
The arrest of the trio comes after another man was arrested at Nyamokenye 1 village in Sameta for allegedly growing bhang.
