Kisii County governor James Ongwae is in trouble after he sacked his 'lazy' communication team last week.
A section of residents have ganged up to demand for the arrest of the ODM allied governor following the ongoing impunity in the devolved unit.
"We can't continue having Ongwae as governor. He is sacking workers carelessly and appointing his relatives and close allies. It is time DCI and DPP to move with speed and apprehend the corrupt governor," said a local Innocent Nyabaro.
Newton Nyamote condemned Governor Ongwae saying he is a disgrace to the people of Kisii County.
"Impunity must stop in Kisii County. There is no tangible development Mr. Ongwae has achieved in the county. He must be arrested for mismanaging public resources and irregular sacking of county staff," said Nyamote.
Renowned blogger Kabz Nyar Kisii who is a strong critic to the county boss has since launched a social media to have Mr. Ongwae 'apprehended' immediately.
"Maseme Machuka, the former Director of Communication in Kisii County was fired not because of incompetence but because he hails from Nyaribari. #ArrestOngwae," she wrote on her Facebook page.
