Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika has now threatened to file a case against Governor Lee Kinyanjui’s administration over what she termed as the violation of the rights of the street children.

Speaking after visiting the street children at a rehabilitation centre in Nakuru on Saturday, Kihika said it is inhumane to do such an act.

The senator, who has been vocal on matters of national interest, said that she cannot sit back and watch street children suffer.

She called for an action to be taken against those who will be found culpable of committing the criminal incident.

“It is a shame that a government can decide to round up its own citizens and dump them in a forest,” she said in part, as quoted by Daily Nation.

The senator also urged the governor to apologize to the entire nation following the act.
