West Mugirango Member of Parliament Vincent Mogaka Kemosi has protested increased crime in his area of jurisdiction.
According to the lawmaker, police officers have slept on their job, something that has led to increased criminal activities.
"Police officers have left residents insecure yet the security officers are mandated to protect the people. I want to call upon Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i to take action against the lazy police officers," he said.
The MP said recently residents have been killed in the area and the death cases are yet to be resolved with the rogue officers.
Kemosi hinted at pushing for the transfer senior police officers who have been working in the area without boosting security.
"I will ensure serious, hard working and willing police officers are brought to my area of jurisdiction to protect my people because sitting down to watch people being killed by criminals won't be condoned anymore," he stated.
He condemned the killing of a school girl two weeks ago saying the killer is yet to be arrested.
The MP challenged police officers to move with speed and arrest the criminals who are well known to people in the area.
