Buyu, whose late husband died under unclear circumstances, will now serve as a member of the Export Processing Zones Authority for a period of three years if she accepts the role.

Others appointed to be members in the same authority are former Mbooni MP Kisoi Munyao and John Masaba.

Msando’s appointment, which was announced by Trade CS Peter Munya, is expected to take effect on September 20.

The wife of the late IEBC official has been calling for speedy probe into her husband’s mysterious death.

Msando was found dead in Kikuyu Forest on July 31, 2017, a day after he went missing. The death came a week to the 2017 General elections.  The government is yet to unearth the killers of the ICT manager at the electoral body more than a year down the line.

In the meantime, the head of state also appointed Former Uasin Gishu gubernatorial candidate Zedekiah Bundotich alias Buzeki and ex Senate Speaker Ekwee Ethuro as chairman of the Board of Chemelil Sugar Company Limited and chairperson of the Higher Education Loans Board respectively.

Other key appointments included Paul Gicheru (chairman of the Export Processing Zones Authority) and Former Vice LSK chairperson Faith Waigwa (chairperson of the Public Procurement Administrative Review Board)
