Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu has been a man not short of controversy, from the time he was the Member of Parliament of Kabete and even way before.

From hate speech to mismanagement to corruption, 'Baba Yao' as he likes to be called has been accused of many things since he entered the political arena.

One thing has however caught my attention recently, that every time the governor is accused of something negative like corruption, he always finds a way to link the situation with his ardent support to Deputy President William Ruto.

Waititu always cries a victim of being in 'Tanga Tanga' and always blaming the 'Kieleweke' faction of Jubilee party for his troubles now and then.

When he appeared before the Senate Public Accounts and Investment Committee, the governor blamed 'his enemies' for sneaking documents he was not aware of to the panel.

Recently, when the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) raided several of his homes over graft allegations, he later came out to say he is being targeted because of his support for DP Ruto.

He further stated he won't be forced to support someone he does not like, before stating he only fears two things, God and hot porridge.

Baba Yao was yet to face the reality on the ground, it's not 'Kieleweke' who are against him, its Kiambu people or at least Githurai Residents who really showed him who is his enemy.

If what Githurai residents said is anything to go by, the greatest enemy for Governor Waititu is none other than himself. You can't defend your  'inability to deliver' with 'being targeted for supporting William Ruto always.

Githurai residents actually heard and applauded Ruto but never wanted to hear anything from Waititu.
