Nairobi governor Mike Sonko is no doubt among the richest men in Kenya. He has been in the limelight for both good and bad reasons.
This time round, he decided to floss his expensive black Mercedes E 350 Convertible car.
In a video shared on social media on Sunday August 5, Sonko can be seen driving himself with three men in the car.
One man a bodyguard, can be seen with a walkie-talkie while the two on the back seat can be seen taking pictures and videos as Sonko drives along Mombasa Road.
His sleek car was accompanied by a convoy of security detail. One car, a siren blaring outrider was ahead of them with two others behind his car.
On top of the cars behind him are men with cameras taking the actions of the whole road trip.
At some point, the convoy was caught up in traffic. As usual crazy Kenyans flooded around the governor’s convoy.
Unfortunately for them, Sonko’s security men alighted from their cars to fend off the curious onlookers and passersby.
One hawker can be seen receiving cash from Sonko. While others are shielded away from going near the sleek car. Left with no choice, they start chanting praising words to Sonko.
“Governor Sonko, Governor wetu,” said women with bananas.
They created a way for the convoy to maneuver through the traffic and they proceeded with their journey.
"Beautification along Mombasa road,” Sonko captioned the video he shared on social media.
