For the first time in as many months, ODM leader Raila Odinga and Ford Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula will share platform this Friday at Nyamira even with escalating animosity.

Lately, a defiant Wetangula has openly reiterated that he is the official leader of opposition, accusing Raila of betraying millions who voted for him in August last year.

"I am the official opposition leader and Raila should stop misleading people. He is in Jubilee and that is a fact. Let him work in harness with his new partners without poking hole into the opposition," he had said.

So bitter was the NASA fallout that Wetangula has often blamed Raila for his ouster as Senate Minority Leader, even though the later has persistently denied.

Interestingly, the two will share podium for the burial of Henry Obwocha, a former West Mugirango MP and a longtime minister during President Mwai Kibakiu's regime.

"They will definitely attend because Raila even promised when we visited the family last week. Besides being his old friend, Raila served with him in Ford Kenya. Wetangula will attend as Ford Kenya leader," said Timothy Bosire, one of the organisers.

Both Wetangula and Raila cherished Obwocha's contributions in Ford Kenya as one of the Young Turks who gave Moi sleepless nights during his iron-fist regime.

ODM through nominated MCA Irene Mayaka has already confirmed Raila's attendance while West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi said his party leader will also be part of mourners.
